We strive to keep you informed of what's happening in our county. There are many ways for you to view events.
The Default View is with all of your calendars selected.
  • To view the available calendars, click Select Calendars. Put a check beside the calendars that you want to view and click View Selected Calendars and you will only see the items in the calendars you checked.
  • ToView by Month click on the "<<" or ">>" buttons on the Monthly Calendar.
  • You can also enter a specific date to see the events for that day.
  • You still have the option of viewing a printable month and week’s calendar with your selection of calendars on it.

RUN FOR THE WALL XX - May 18 - May 19
Veterans from all wars and their supporters will leave from Rancho Cucamonga, CA on their annual pilgrimage across the heartland of America to the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial-THE WALL in Washington DC. Most will be riding motorcycles. This year, they will honor Junction City by stopping here May 18-19th. Their mission is to create a groundswell of support for American POW/MIA's from all wars, and to honor the memory of those Killed In Action, and to help those injured by war to heal. Please join us in making this a memorable and honorable stop-off.

Junction City Crafts Show - May 24
This event is a fund-raiser for Sundown Salute, the city's free Independence Day Celebration. Come shop the many booths of this craft show.

JC Generals vs Clarinda A's-"Opening Night" - May 30 - May 31
The Junction City Generals kickoff their third summer of baseball with a two-game series against the Clarinda A's (Iowa). Junction City eliminated Clarinda from the NBC World Series last summer. Opening night will be loaded with something for everyone. Fans can enjoy a fireworks show immediately following the game, and live music in the Beer Garden after the fireworks. Saturday, May 31st, will be day 2 of the Sports Spectacular Weekend and Military Appreciation Day at the ballpark. The Generals are pleased to offer half-price tickets for all military families.

Whiskey Lake Raceway-Sports Spectacular Weekend - May 30
The First Infantry Division Band will kickoff this weekend on Friday night beginning at 5:30. Sprint car legend Doug Wolfgang will be present and autograph his new book "Lone Wolf". On Friday night, May 30th , Covenant Films & Emmanuel Pictures will be filming crowd scenes and racing action for the full length feature film "Can We Talk?". The film will feature a modified stock car race staged at Whiskey Lake Raceway. This will be your opportunity to be in the crowd and a part of the film. Release date for the film is scheduled for late fall 2008. Come and join us for "Chamber of Commerce Night!!! URSS Sprints, B-Modified, and Regular Classes race.
